Description:
Yorgos Kalivas is a farmer who dedicated his life to cultivating trees, not raising a family. He lives alone in the ancient Skouries forest of northern Greece, deeply connected to his land and tending to his chestnut trees and beehives. His fate is now intertwined with the forest's, which is threatened by a multinational company's plan to build a gold mine nearby. This development has sparked a desperate struggle, deepening Yorgos's isolation and despair. Though he never sought conflict, war has come to his home.
