Description:
In 1963 Denmark, the lives of two teenage friends, Bjorn and Erik, are changing. Bjorn is courted by Kirsten, a woman who embodies traditional domesticity, but he finds himself drawn to Anna, who introduces him to love and intimacy. Meanwhile, Erik feels burdened by responsibility, caring for his mother with mental illness while navigating his father's rigid control. He longs for Kirsten, but she remains out of reach. A series of events – including a pregnancy, a traumatic abortion, a tense engagement party, and a surprising truth about his father – leads to a confrontation where Bjorn and Erik must challenge the authority of the adults in their lives.
