Description:
Max is invited to dinner with his fiancée and her family. To be polite, he stops at a bakery for a gift, but gets stuck to the floor with flypaper. Arriving at the dinner, he's covered in sticky residue, causing a series of problems – problems he could have avoided by simply mentioning the incident. The film's title card incorrectly displays the date and title. While earlier versions with a similar story may exist (several unidentified films by Max Linder were made between 1905 and 1908), this specific film dates to 1910.
