Description:
On August 3, 1996, a school of striped dolphins washed ashore near the village of Tuo on Ngasinue/Fenualoa Island in the Solomon Islands. The dolphins share a special connection with the Aiwoo-speaking people of Tuo, and Moffat Bonunga recounts the traditional story explaining this link. He shares his explanation with Commins Veio, who then tells it to Nathaniel Meningi inside the village men's house. When the dolphins arrive, Moffat immediately contacts the film crew, as the villagers wish to document this unusual event. The film centers on the traditional story and the villagers' re-enactment of a hunt, while also capturing their happiness that the sea has once again provided vital sustenance.
