Between 1939 and 1942, over 400 Jewish children were sheltered, educated, and ultimately rescued in the French village of Chabannes. This was made possible by the courageous work of the school's director and teachers, along with Jewish rescue organizations who initially brought the children to the village and later evacuated them as the war intensified. In 1996, two elderly teachers reunite with the children and their families. Lisa Gossels, whose father and uncle were among those saved, documents the reunion. The film features survivors' recollections, wartime photographs and drawings, footage of the school and town, and a tribute to Felix Chevrier, the school's director, and his leadership.
