Description:
Beginning in 1997, I created found-footage montages for a monthly performance club in downtown New York called 'Martha @ Mother.' The club was hosted by performance artist Richard Move, who satirized Martha Graham, the famous 20th-century modern dance choreographer. My videos were fast-paced collections of various dance styles—some serious and understated, others playful and irreverent—all with commentary on dance and references to 'Martha' characters from movies.
