Terra Incognita (2001)

This film blends animation and music to explore shifting ideas of space, location, and navigation. The animated images are created from hand-painted and etched 35mm film, physically manipulated and further transformed digitally. The music was developed intuitively, using sounds from instruments like the thumb piano, pygmy pipe, and gamelan metallophone, which are then layered and arranged in a complex, interwoven structure mirroring the visual imagery.
