Description:
In 19th-century Edinburgh, Hart and Moore are grave robbers who supply bodies to the city's medical schools. Facing dwindling supplies and persistent demand, they devise a plan to create their own source, targeting vulnerable individuals like vagrants, prostitutes, and drunkards. However, their actions spark a backlash when they poison a well-liked man named Jamie, leading to retaliation from the townsfolk. Originally intended to be about Burke and Hare, the film had its soundtrack completely reworked to replace those names with Hart and Moore after British censors deemed the original names offensive.
