Description:
During World War II, American soldiers discover a large structure made entirely of petroleum jelly. They use shovels to soften it. A metal box opens, revealing Douglas MacArthur smoking a corncob pipe. He walks through the jelly to meet a Japanese general in a top hat. The generals sign white plastic tablets with tattoo guns, then MacArthur brands them with an iron bearing his insignia. Finally, Barbara Gladstone applies a label with the artwork's title, date, and gallery logo to each tablet.
