Description:

Richard, the King's youngest brother, is determined to become king. He persuades the ailing King Edward IV that his elder brother, the Duke of Clarence, poses a danger to Edward's young sons. Clarence is imprisoned and murdered. The King dies from grief. Richard becomes Lord Protector, ruling England until his nephew, Edward V, comes of age. Before Edward's coronation, Richard has the young king and his brother moved to the Tower, supposedly for their protection. Richard's ally, the Duke of Buckingham, declares the boys illegitimate and offers Richard the crown, which he accepts. After Richard is crowned, he and Buckingham disagree about the fate of the two young princes.
