Description:

The film uses close-up shots to observe two tiny marine creatures: the delicate stenorhynchus and the awkward hyas. Both camouflage themselves with bits of algae and sponges. We follow their lives as they move, feed, interact, and compete. They possess small jaws and large claws. Nearby are spirograph worms, about six inches long, with feathery gills that resemble fireworks. Tiny, vibrating cilia on the gills direct food to the center of the plume. Chopin's music and a narrator create the impression of a carefully choreographed performance.
