Catherine Destivelle is widely considered the world's most renowned female climber. She gained fame for groundbreaking climbs, including the first free ascent of Pakistan's Nameless Tower and solo winter ascents of the Matterhorn and Eiger's north faces – feats unmatched by any other woman. Destivelle also achieved history in sport climbing by winning the world championship. In 1997, she earned the title "Queen of the Rock" on Scotland's Old Man of Hoy route, a climb originally established by Bonington, Patey & Baillie. She completed this 137-meter ascent while four months pregnant, a climb considered not technically difficult but challenging due to its tricky rock.
