Description:
Following the death of Sheriff Billy Kelly in Emporia, Wyoming, Preacher Sam Stone and his new wife Jill stand at his grave with other mourners including businessman George Gates, Mayor Ned West, and his daughter Patricia. The mayor refuses Gates' proposal to release gunfighter Waco to restore order. After Patricia is attacked by a cowboy following a breakup with her boyfriend Scotty Moore, the mayor agrees to the governor's amnesty offer for Waco. Upon hearing of Waco's release, Jill decides to flee town, fearing he'll discover she married the preacher while he was imprisoned – they were formerly engaged. Town boss Joe Gore is displeased, but Ike and Pete Jenner are eager for revenge against Waco for their brother's death. Written by Les Adams.
