Description:
While observing the planet Icarus through his telescope, a teenager discovers it's on a collision course with Earth. Dismissed by the scientific community, he is then kidnapped and taken to a secret UN base in the Japanese Alps. He's immediately recruited into a program dedicated to completing the Super-Destruction Beam cannon and destroying Icarus. The cannon needs a rare mineral for its lens, leading the team to a mysterious island in the Pacific, where they find ancient ruins resembling Atlantis. They are attacked by a strange, drill-shaped metal squid spaceship commanded by Nazu, an evil being who orchestrated the collision to prevent humanity from sharing the universe and to stop the cannon's completion. As action ensues, the team discovers the Golden Bat, an ancient entity that has been dormant for over 10,000 years, awaiting this moment to save Earth.
