LEGO Animaatiot77 80 (1980)

Before LEGO minifigs were widely known, filmmakers Jary and Jiri Kuukkanen and their friends created an animated film called "the brother film," a companion piece to Legokaupunki. Made between 1977 and 1980 and published by Heimo Kuukkanen, the film is notable for being one of the first to use the minifig walk cycle. Released shortly after the introduction of the LEGO minifigure in 1978, the movie offers a look at the early stop-motion animation techniques that would later inspire countless LEGO creations.
