Description:

After the Civil War, Frank and Jesse James, along with other former guerrillas, swear allegiance to the Union. But they quickly become disappointed by the power of Chicago railroad investors over them. So, the James brothers, Bob and Charlie Ford, joined by Clell Miller and Arch Clements, turn to crime, robbing banks, trains, and stagecoaches. Pinkerton detectives are determined to capture these outlaws and bring them to justice. The film examines this intense conflict between lawmen and criminals in post-Civil War America, revealing the complicated connections and reasons behind the choices of both sides.
