Description:
Saiunkoku is a land divided into eight provinces, each representing a different color. Emperor Shi Ryuuki is known for his detachment from court and his open affection for men. Shuurei, from a prominent family struggling financially, sees an opportunity to reform the Emperor by becoming his concubine. Her father's adopted son, Seiran, joins her as Ryuuki’s bodyguard. Inside the palace, Shuurei reignites her ambition to serve as a court official and, with newfound allies, bravely navigates the complexities of court life while resisting the Emperor’s attentions.
