Description:
"The Big Surprise" was an NBC quiz show that ran from 1955 to 1957, created as a competitor to the wildly popular "The $64,000 Question." The show promised a massive grand prize of $100,000 to its winners. Game show producer Jack Barry hosted the show at first, but journalist Mike Wallace replaced him on March 3, 1956, and continued as host until the series ended.
