Description:
This sci-fi drama centers on Tsukasa Mizugaki, an 18-year-old recent college graduate whose promising future is derailed when he fails his entrance exams. He unexpectedly lands a job at SAI Corporation, a leading company that creates and manages Giftia – lifelike androids capable of feeling emotions. Instead of a challenging role, Tsukasa is assigned to the terminal service department, tasked with retrieving Giftias nearing the end of their operational lives – a difficult and emotionally charged responsibility. He's partnered with Isla, a female Giftia whose primary function is serving tea. The series explores the evolving relationship between humans and androids as they perform their duties, confronting the reality of Giftia expiration dates. It examines themes of friendship, loss, and the definition of humanity in a world where artificial beings experience emotions.
