The Lexx faces a dire predicament: dwindling supplies force them into a slow crawl through space, a journey that 790 calculates could take millennia to reach another habitable world. Desperate for survival, the crew initiates cryostasis, suspending themselves in time for what promises to be an unimaginably long voyage. Four thousand years later, they awaken near Fire and Water – a pair of twin planets marking the beginning of a completely new chapter. Season Three unfolds entirely on these strange worlds, introducing familiar faces from the Light Universe, though tragically stripped of their memories of the parallel dimension. Despite this loss, their core personalities remain intact. The fiery planet is governed by a captivating Prince, while Water appears to lack any clear leadership. Both planets are fractured societies, with inhabitants scattered across isolated settlements: on Water, these exist as islands adrift in a vast ocean, and on Fire, they’re towering structures rising from desolate deserts.

Season two plunges the crew headfirst into a desperate battle against Mantrid, a formidable figure once known as His Divine Shadow’s Bio-Vizier. A fateful mistake in the season premiere – inadvertently aiding his consciousness transfer into a machine – unexpectedly entangled him with a lingering fragment of His Shadow, unleashing a terrifying new threat. Now, driven by a chilling ambition, Mantrid seeks to reshape everything within the Light Universe into an army of emotionless automatons. Throughout their harrowing journey, the crew finds themselves repeatedly embroiled in perilous circumstances, often relying on Kai’s timely interventions for rescue. Ultimately, they confront and vanquish Mantrid, but victory comes at a devastating cost: the destruction of the very universe they fought to protect. With nowhere left to go, the crew is forced to make a daring escape, venturing into the unknown depths of the Dark Zone.

Having inadvertently commandeered the Lexx – a weapon of unimaginable power spanning two universes – Stan, Zev, and Kai find themselves on the run from the formidable League of the 20,000 Planets. Now fugitives, they desperately search for somewhere to call home. Kai's survival hinges on a constant supply of protoblood, forcing them back towards the Cluster, the League’s central planet. There, they uncover a terrifying secret: a colossal insect has emerged, one that previously manipulated both The Divine Order and His Divine Shadow with the sinister goal of consuming every human across the 20,000 planets. This creature is now undergoing a disturbing transformation into the Gigashadow – an entity capable of producing the very protoblood Kai needs to live. With Zev’s assistance, Kai manages to replenish his dwindling supply. In a final, desperate act, he implants the Cluster lizard Squish directly into the insect's mind, triggering its destruction.
