Description:
Kissyfur is an animated children’s series, originally broadcast on NBC in the 1980s. Created by Phil Mendez and produced by Jean Chalopin & Andy Heyward for DIC, it spun out of a primetime TV special and continued with several more specials before its Saturday morning run, lasting two seasons. The show centers on Gus and Kissyfur, a father-and-son bear team who once worked in the circus. After a train derailment leads them to Paddlecab County, they settle in the swamps and protect the local wildlife from clumsy alligators Floyd and Jolene. Using their skills learned from humans, Kissyfur and his father start a river tour business, transporting animals and goods along the waterway.
