Description:
"Hunter," an NBC police drama that ran from 1984 to 1991, follows Sgt. Rick Hunter, played by Fred Dryer, a resourceful and physically imposing homicide detective for the Los Angeles Police Department. He's known for his unconventional methods and willingness to bend the rules to achieve justice. Stepfanie Kramer co-stars as Sgt. Dee Dee McCall, Hunter's partner for most of the series. After six seasons, Kramer left for other opportunities, and the final season sees Hunter partnering with different female officers. The show frequently features cases resolved with lethal force by Hunter and McCall. Executive produced by Stephen J. Cannell in its first season, "Hunter" portrays the realities of police work while exploring the complicated relationships between its main characters and the consequences of their unorthodox approach to solving crimes.
