Description:
Yuri Bragin returns to St. Petersburg after a year-long investigation. He discovers Vadim Maltsev, head of the First Investigation Department, is retiring, and Bragin is a likely candidate to replace him. But Bragin isn't interested in a promotion; he’s driven by the work itself. He’s assigned a business trip to investigate the brutal murder of two girls in a town within the Leningrad region. The close-knit community makes the investigation difficult, forcing Bragin to unravel a complex web of personal relationships and hidden motives. Though he doesn't want the new position, Bragin's dedication to justice may lead him down an unexpected path.
