Description:
The Stevens are a picture-perfect middle-class family living in Sacramento. Steve, a successful lawyer, and Eileen, a state Senator, have always prioritized ambition and achievement in their lives. Their children – Donnie, Ren, and Louis – are all driven, but in different ways. Donnie is a high school athletic star, and Ren is an eighth-grader who excels in her studies and gives back to the community. But beneath the surface, the family isn't as harmonious as it seems. Louis, their seventh-grade son, feels constantly overshadowed by his accomplished siblings. He’s more comfortable relaxing than striving, and often gets into trouble at school. Despite frequent clashes with Ren, who he bickers with constantly, Louis is determined to find something he’s good at, something that will let him measure up to his family.
