Choi Han Kyul lives a life of leisure as the privileged grandson of Dongin Foods’ formidable Chairwoman Hong – a coffee empire heiress who expects nothing less than excellence. He's charming, undeniably handsome, and hopelessly devoted to his first love, Han Yoo Joo, who remains frustratingly out of reach. Enter Go Eun Chan: a fiercely independent young woman shouldering the responsibility of her family since she was just sixteen. Mistaken for a boy due to her sporty style, Eun Chan’s life takes an unexpected turn when Han Kyul, completely oblivious to her true gender, impulsively hires her for a peculiar role – his fake gay lover, designed to dodge his grandmother's relentless matchmaking attempts. Facing pressure from Chairwoman Hong, Han Kyul accepts the challenge of revitalizing a neglected coffee shop, rebranding it as "Coffee Prince" in an effort to demonstrate his capabilities and finally earn the respect of both his grandmother and Yoo Joo. To draw in a female clientele, he makes a bold decision: staffing the cafe exclusively with attractive young men.

Description:

This series follows Eun-chan, who works at a neighborhood coffee shop. Because of her ambiguous looks, she can easily be mistaken for a man – a key element when she gets the job. As Eun-chan goes through her daily work life, she also has to deal with the complicated feelings that develop between her and her manager. It's a moving story about figuring out who you are, finding yourself, and the importance of relationships. The series questions typical ideas about men and women and how we see each other today.
