Inspired by Kris Straub's "creepypasta" tale, season one deals with one man’s obsessive recollections of a mysterious children’s television program from the 1980s, and his ever-growing suspicions about the role it might have played in a series of nightmarish and deadly events from his childhood.

Season two delves into the unsettling world inspired by Brian Russell’s chilling “Creepypasta” story. We meet Margot Sleator, a young woman drawn to the No-End House – a place unlike any other, a labyrinth of rooms each more disturbing than the last. But her visit leaves an indelible mark; returning home, Margot finds that nothing is as it should be, and she’s forced to confront a reality irrevocably altered by her experience within those terrifying walls.

Moving to a fresh start isn’t always what it seems. Inspired by Kerry Hammond’s chilling “Search and Rescue Woods” story, season three plunges into the unsettling reality facing Alice as she settles into a new city. Soon, whispers of disappearances begin to surface, intertwined with a bizarre local legend: hidden staircases lurking within the city's most neglected areas. As Alice and her sister delve deeper, they uncover a disturbing truth – something sinister is hunting the residents, and the staircases may hold the key to understanding this escalating threat.

Season four plunges us into the unsettling world of newlyweds Jillian and Tom, whose fresh start is shadowed by unspoken pasts. Inspired by Charlotte Bywater’s chilling “Hidden Door” creepypasta, the season unfolds as they uncover a bizarre anomaly in their basement – a mysterious door that seems determined to unravel not only their carefully constructed life together, but also expose the long-held secrets each has carried into marriage, with potentially devastating consequences.
