Haunted by years of loss and tragedy, the immortal Fushi has retreated to a solitary island life, fiercely guarding himself against the relentless threat of the Nokkers. But these creatures aren't content with simply hunting him; they now target nearby settlements, hoping to draw him out of his self-imposed exile. It’s then that Fushi encounters the Guardians—a dedicated group led by Hisame, a descendant honoring the legacy of the fallen warrior Hayase. The Guardians, who have built a substantial following inspired by Fushi's past protection of Janada Island, seek his aid. Though hesitant to re-engage with the world, Fushi eventually agrees to accompany them to the scene of a recent Nokker attack.
