Sort of like Birdbox or A Quiet Place The movie feels sort of rushed with the initial world building being different from something we would be more familiar with, like zombies for instance. It introduces an entirely new set of monsters with new rules that we have to apply to the narrative. Then it skips most of that world building to get into a weird humans are the real monster sort of plot and you sort of lose interest in it at that point. Watching Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir is such a fun experience. The show mixes superhero action, comedy, romance, and emotional moments really well, making every episode entertaining. Marinette and Adrien are both lovable characters, and their chemistry keeps the story exciting. The animation is colorful and energetic, and the transformations never get old. What makes the series stand out most is how it balances lighthearted fun with surprisingly emotional character development. On first watch of the trailer, I expected that Johnny Cage would be the centerpiece, capitalizing on Karl Urban's name. While the usual formulaic approach and a bit of convoluted and disjointed script, it did pay homage to the previous film (though not the video game). I did appreciate that they gave mostly equal balance to the different characters, though it lacked backstories to everyone but Cage. It was okay. But a lot of the villains were talked about for a very short time and did not go into great detail about them. Only interesting thing they talked about was 1, a big question they talk about is which came first, villain or hero. Sometimes villains appear and heroes come to stop them. The movie is a fine special for the spidey and friend's tv show. But I just couldn't help thinking how they could have improved so many things or how certain plot points didn't make sense. Why didn't the green goblin use the robot controller machine to take control of Ultron the moment he got his hands on it? Why didn't they account for the combined strength of the team when making the cage? They should have made it heavier or attached it to the floor or something. How would Ultron even eat a churro? This is a pretty big nothing of a special. The plot is just Lanny & Wayne mess up a mission. They try to keep it a secret, but then they are called in by Santa for a secret meeting. Where Wayne then proceeds to ty and figure out what secret thing Santa has called him in to talk about, he then proceeds to talk about two missions that went bad, which he assumes are the reason he is there. Which is just lazy writing to cut to two different ~10 minutes shorts, both predictable, and boring.…

This short seems to have only been created to help advertise the music that was created and that basically had a whole music video for in the first 5 minutes. The plot of the short is basically team rocket has built a secret base and are about to show it off to the boss and they leave their pokemon to guard the base and to prepare a dance number to impress the boss. They will do this by using a magic stick Meowth has that makes all pokemon in the area dance, along with a few pokemon they have trapped. The movie is fine enough, I think both kids and adults would find it entertaining. The character dynamics are fun to watch and definitely the strongest part of the film. (Lex and joker, Robin and batman, Superman and batman.) But the catch is that writing was done in/for Lego Batman 2 the video game, Since this movie is just the cutscenes from the game edited slightly differently and with a bit more polish in the rendering software. Had a blast watching it with friends after finding it in a resell store bin. The entire film has a weird yellowish tint over the whole thing, the plot is very predictable and none of the characters are really memorable, the movie is suppose to take place in the amazon but many scenes have North American trees, also the military men aren't wearing Brazilian camo. A funny thing I noticed is I'm pretty sure they only ever made a single physical Piranha prop so every scene that isn't cgi its the exact same prop.…
