**_Frank Miller’s campy, tedious version of the pulp hero_**
Will Eisner’s The Spirit debuted in 1940 and was obviously influenced by The Shadow, Dick Tracy and, especially, Batman. Shot in late 2007, this movie version of the character is decidedly Miller’s rendition wherein he meshes Eisner’s hero with “Sin City,” which turned off purists of the comic. Yet film versions of heroes from comics and other mediums (radio, literature) are always alternative renditions.

I unpretentiously watched this movie during a flight and regretted immediately not having watched it in the movie teather.
this looney tunes meets dawn of the dead movie has duffy duck and pork piggy having to face an alien that turns most humans in their town into zombies. Such a Beautifully graphic intro, Glorious Devastation, a feast for the senses. Our characters are students in a testing scenario, possibly high school. Looking as though we've something beginning to happen to one of our young characters, possibly the pressure could be causing hallucinations or even other worldly shenanigans.

If this show was a boxer it wouldn't land a punch.
Honestly, I don't understand the high ratings for this show other than people getting free trials of apple TV after listening to ABC radio in the evenings for some competition. This show telegraphs it's jokes like its worried people won't recognise how clever they are. There are so many huge names in this that all must have either owed favours or felt it was a great exercise in self indulgence.

I recently watched Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, and to be honest, I found it somewhat underwhelming. The movie has its moments, and visually it’s stunning — some scenes are beautifully shot, with vibrant colors and impressive cinematography that really show the scale of the action. What a huge missed opportunity. It’s well known that Hollywood denizens are generally not the sharpest knifes around but it is still a disappointment when they give a fairly high budget movie, and a well known franchise as well, to some low IQ writer hack that just ruins it.
The dinosaurs and special effects related to the dinosaurs were actually quite good. I liked the visual aspects of the movie even if they took a bit too much liberties with reality/physics on some of them. Like the absurdly long tails of the Titanosaurs for example.

My Review of FNAF 2
Honestly, the movie was absolutely incredible, especially for long-time fans of the franchise. I jumped more than nine times — no joke — and the special effects were on another level. The animatronics looked terrifying in the best possible way, and the actors did an amazing job bringing the story to life.
On the downside, the plot can be a bit hard to follow at times, and some moments feel a little confusing if you’re not familiar with the lore.
But overall, it was a thrilling experience, packed with tension, atmosphere, and fan-service done right.

Given I haven't seen that many of the Oscar nominated movies of 2024, I can't really say Anora was deserving of the Best Picture win, however I did quite liked this blend of dark comedy and drama and Mikey Madison was amazing with her duality of Ani and Anora.
