Literally, what is better than being entertained at the expense of characters that represent the worst of our current humanity? The writing is nearly perfect. The characters are honest to a fault. They don't represent real life, but instead how I wish we communicated, honestly.
Ella McCay is an honest and well communicated character. To read the lines creates the nessiary delivery.
The movie has a great story arc and it is nice to see a movie where you know exactly who the characters are immediately, but you still care about the drama they're experiencing.
Watching in the theatre is not required. Ella McCay will be a fantastic couch movie.

This was helmed by the creator of the “Blind Dead” tetralogy, Amando de Ossorio, so if you’re familiar with those flicks, it’s cut from the same cloth, just better IMHO. It comes across as a fairy tale with horrific attacks reminiscent of what you’d see in a Kolchak episode, such as “Horror in the Heights,” albeit gorier and scarier. A low budget Estonian anthology or 4 tales that's about 90%+ dialog driven but the acting is honest and it's superbly well written keeping one totally involved in the stories.
