One of the things most engaging about this amiable animation is the transferability of it’s story. This is about a young lad who’s an huge fan of the Montreal Canadiens ice hockey team, but it could just as readily apply to anyone passionate about supporting their local team and determined to wear their colours. It looks like we're in for a fun time as we've a couple of friends inviting mischievous behavior into their lives and are not only doing it willingly but also laughingly. They seem like really close friends, and there are a lot of shenanigans from one of the guys that are really getting bizarre. So, the character appears to be suffering from severe insomnia, but the sleep isn't sleeping at all, and it's getting weirder by the moment. Well acted and constructed script, I have never seen an account of this historical event in a movie before. The actors ALL did a great job. I especially loved the great-granddad and his great grandson,'the fixer'(Xiao Zhan). My only criticism was, it seemed to short, I wanted to learn more about the main 3 adult characters.…

Krampus was a low effort recycle of better comedy movie with a horror movie overlay. I think it was supposed to be dark humor, but ultimately doesn't work as horror or humor.…

There is enough in here to make you excited. The intro is cool. There are good action pieces. Good shots but it’s all glued together with like a confusing hour of crap. The plot is thin. You’d be best served to come in when Roundtree does. He is Shaft. Sam’s not Shaft and neither is this kid. This film is 2 hours. Not worthy of 2 hours. Getting in with Roundtree would give you ~40 minutes? That’s probably the right amount of this Shaft. Definitely one of those movies where at 1 hour something happens where you think “this was really good. I can’t believe it’s over. It felt so fast!” You then watch it bleed out for another hour.…

Very beautiful. Long, glorious shots. Males acting like roosters because roosters are cool and have sharp things. Or some reason they don't go in to here. Aside from the flag sword guy, there’s the spear sticking male too. He doesn't get to act like a rooster. More of a guy. It’s a crazy sport. Lots of opportunity for tension. I feel this is something to have on repeat in some corner of the room to be reminded how much shit this guy wears or how violent bull fighting is.…

Daniel Robbins and Zack Weiner's "Bad Shabbos" is absolutely hilarious from the get-go and never lets up. A Jewish family invites the son's non-Jewish financee's parents to dinner for the first time - more specifically, to their Shabbat dinner. What follows is dark comedy executed with perfect timing and fearless commitment to the insane premise. The film is deeply steeped in New York City Jewish culture, which may have helped it become an audience favorite at the 2024 Tribeca Festival, though its appeal clearly transcends the regional. It won awards in Cordillera and Wisconsin as well.…

Ray Fearon gives a stand out performance, he's very amusing alongside Sutherland! The plot could be a bit stronger but there are plenty of laughs to be had.…
