78/100 Nicky Parsons draws Bourne out of hiding after nearly 10 years when she finds information about his father ...not to mention a variety of new nefarious government projects. The chase begins once again. This is the only Bourne film that was not scripted by Tony Gilroy. **A Claustrophobic and Intense Survival Thriller** "From the Ashes: The Pit" is my first experience with Arabic cinema, and I think it wasn't bad at all. When it comes to these Adkins DTV actioners, i already know what to expect. Usually i'll get some good and sometimes great action sequences, alongside a fairly average/cliched storyline. Horrible. When i first saw the trailer i actually got excited, because i thought to myself wow, we finally have a filipino action film that will be in the same vein as Timo Tjahjanto. This film was released in the year I was born, so now almost sixty years later it’s hardly surprising that it has lost much of it’s punch. 76/100 The race continues directly from the previous film and, overall, it's pretty much the same ...although this one did have a bit more of the M:I feel to it, even though some of the gimmicks they had to pull off were totally outlandish. The action continues to be the highlight and makes it all very exciting and entertaining despite it ofttimes going on way too long and stepping well beyond what is believable. I have never assigned a rating of 1/10 to any film until this one. For all those that have been taken by the cinematography, you have been taken for a ride. The use of a 4:3 ratio, dark, smudgy static wide shot series of 2-4 minutes takes, minimal dialog and acting does not make a great film, especially when it is slow for no reason and lasts almost 3 hours. You couldn't even see the main protagonist's face for the first 70 minutes. The net result is a ludicrous film masquerading as art, a talentless, lazy imitation of Werner Herzog's Aguirre, the Wrath of God.…
