This is not just a film you watch, it’s a film you experience. Oldboy is without question, one of the greatest revenge stories ever put to film. It has, in my opinion, the greatest villain of all time, smart, terrifying, and totally unforgettable. The movie is twisted, disturbing, and yet absolutely magnificent in its execution. It’s one of those movies you have to watch at least once in your life. Even after it ends, it sticks with you and you keep thinking about it. And the soundtrack is absolutely beautiful, it fits the mood perfectly and makes every scene hit even harder. …

Kelsey's “I got an axe wound” is perhaps the best one-liner to come out of a horror movie this decade lol. For this line alone, I highly recommend this hilarious movie to all lovers of a goood horror comedy. Trust me, you'll love it.…

Jessye Romeo has about three different character names in this entertaining short feature. Initially, she’s just “Uloaku” working behind the counter in a quiet petrol station. Now here’s a challenge worthy of “Dr. Who” or any others expert in the vagaries of the space-time continuum. A prisoner (Tom Cullen) is shown to his sparsely furnished cell where he encounters his cell mate (Michael Gould) reading at the desk. It’s hardly surprising that National Socialism could find a home amongst the American population at the end of the 1930s, but this short newsreel focuses quite an effective light on just how “presentable” and “patriotic” the Nazis could make their swastika and their pro-gentile policies to twenty thousand folk. There is no radical language, no taunting or hate speech here. Ok, so this does rather play to stereotype as it imbues half a dozen critters with issues more readily attributed to human beings. Sitting in a circle, they talk politely to “Dr. Clement” about their problems and then an ape arrives in the room and the writing steps up a gear into something I found quite funny. This might have worked better had it not taken us forty-five minutes to get to the business end - there is just way too much explanatory preamble telling us why disgraced “Pembroke” (James Coburn) is determined to recapture a fortress he was compelled to surrender during the US Civil War.
