White as Milk, Red as Blood (2013)

Sixteen-year-old Leo finds school dull, preferring time with his friends, his motorbike, and music. He doesn't connect with his teachers until a new substitute arrives – a history and philosophy teacher who challenges him to see the world differently. Smitten with Beatrice, the girl of his dreams, Leo views the world through a spectrum of colors. Beatrice is the color of love, but when he learns she has leukemia, a disease he associates with white, the color of emptiness and loss, Leo must confront his own beliefs and fears.
