Description:
During World War I in London, Myra, an American chorus girl, navigates hardship and danger. To survive, she seeks connection with men on Waterloo Bridge. She meets Roy, a young American who recently joined the Canadian army, and they quickly fall in love. Roy asks Myra to visit his family at their peaceful country estate. But the idyllic setting is disrupted by disapproval from Roy's mother, who has remarried a British Major and opposes the relationship. Myra struggles to share her past with Roy, worried it will destroy their love. The story explores love, secrets, and finding oneself amidst war and social change. It examines identity, right and wrong, and the search for hope and belonging during difficult times.
