Vicenta (2020)

Against the backdrop of a major legal and medical scandal that resulted in Argentina being found guilty by the UN Human Rights Commission in 2011, this film tells the story of a devastating human tragedy. In 2006, sixteen-year-old Laura, who had both mental and physical disabilities, was raped by her uncle. Her mother, Vicenta, had already obtained legal permission for an abortion, but this was challenged by lawyers and doctors.
