Description:

In a Texas town, a simple country boy named Bud Davis moves to Pasadena and is drawn to Gilley's, a local bar. There, he meets Sissy, a spirited cowgirl who believes in equality. They connect, but Bud’s traditional views on masculinity cause problems, leading to them separating due to jealousy. Bud tries to win Sissy back by entering Gilley's mechanical bull riding competition. Training for the event forces him to examine his beliefs and adjust to changing relationships. This story is about love, growing up, and adapting to a new world.
