Description:
UFC 151 was scheduled to be a mixed martial arts event held September 1, 2012, in Las Vegas. The main event was a UFC Light Heavyweight Championship fight between champion Jon Jones and Dan Henderson, a former champion from PRIDE FC and Strikeforce. However, the event was canceled on August 23rd when Henderson was injured and unable to compete. Jones declined a replacement fight against Chael Sonnen. Initially, UFC 152, planned for three weeks later, was to be renamed UFC 151. Ultimately, the UFC decided UFC 152 would keep its name, and UFC 151 would be considered a canceled event.
