Twins of Evil (1971)

A quiet village is terrorized by unexplained deaths. Count Karstein's fascination with Satanism inadvertently brings Mircalla Karnstein back to life. As dark powers awaken, Mircalla introduces Karstein to vampirism, plunging the community into turmoil. Gustav, a strict Puritan, leads his community in a hunt for the evil responsible. But their search becomes complicated when Gustav's own twin nieces are caught in a wave of witch hunts. Maria, an innocent, is threatened with execution due to Gustav’s determination. Meanwhile, her sister Frieda embraces a life of pleasure empowered by her new vampiric abilities. This gothic story explores moral questions, family bonds, and the dangers of unwavering faith. As the characters confront sinister forces, they must re-evaluate their values and allegiances.
