Description:

On a winter morning, a mother awakens to find her son Heinrich missing from his bed. She searches for him and discovers the neighbors' apartment, marked with a Star of David, empty and in disarray. The family has been deported. Remembering flashbacks of Heinrich and the neighbors’ son Paul as inseparable six-year-olds, she recalls telling Heinrich they were going to "Toyland" before Paul's family's impending deportation. Heinrich had packed a bag and waited for them to leave. Realizing he’s gone with them, the mother races to find him, desperate to reach him in time.
