Description:
Miner Ralph Burton survives a cave-in and emerges into a world ravaged by nuclear war. He finds the planet barren and desolate. While traveling to New York City, he meets Sarah Crandall, another survivor grappling with the disaster. They form a close friendship as they try to adjust to their new lives. However, the arrival of Benson Thacker complicates things. Thacker's boat into the city introduces tension, particularly due to the growing racial divide between him and Burton. Ralph, Sarah, and Benson must overcome their differences and cooperate to survive the dangers of this uncertain world.
