The Rug (2025)

Edna, a lonely elderly woman, finds a strange rug discarded outside her apartment. Her curiosity turns to horror when she discovers it can consume anything placed upon it. She watches in disbelief as her landlord and a police officer are swallowed whole by the relentless rug. Fascinated and frightened, Edna cautiously tests the rug's power. But it grows increasingly hungry with each consumption, eventually threatening her own life. Trapped in her home, the once harmless rug becomes a menacing force, consuming everything around her. This darkly comedic story explores isolation and survival, showing how ordinary objects can unexpectedly alter lives.
