Description:

The town of Hamelin is overrun with rats, and the desperate citizens promise a reward to anyone who can get rid of them. A mysterious piper arrives with a solution: he'll play a tune that will lure the rats away forever. The townspeople gather as he plays, and the rats follow the sound towards a tempting illusion of cheese, only to find themselves with no reward for their efforts. Undeterred, the piper plays another tune, this one enchanting the children of Hamelin. As the mesmerized children follow him out of town, their parents desperately try to stop them, but they are powerless. The piper's haunting music continues as the children march away, leaving everything behind. Even newborns are taken from their cradles as the music swells. The townspeople are left to face the horrifying consequences of their greed and the piper’s dark intentions as the children disappear into the distance.
