Description:

It is 1349 in northern Germany, and the Black Death has arrived, plunging communities into despair. While the ruling class grows wealthy through the crisis, the Mayor's daughter prepares to marry the Baron's son, unaware of the financial strain her father's war plans will impose on them both. A local apothecary, wrongly accused of witchcraft, desperately searches for a cure for the plague. As chaos and deceit spread, a group of minstrels arrives in Hamelin to play at the wedding. One minstrel, drawn to the Mayor's daughter, promises to eliminate the town's rat problem for a fee. When the Mayor breaks his promise, the minstrel unleashes a terrible revenge on Hamelin, forcing the town to face the devastating consequences of their choices amidst a horrifying combination of plague, persecution, and swarming rats.
