Chief Marakud's son is expected to prove himself a warrior, but his lack of hunting skills frustrates his father. Seeking a solution, Marakuda ventures into the forest and encounters Tink, a sacred bird who grants him the ability to understand animals and birds. Returning home with Tink, Marakuda is hailed as a hero, unaware of the tradition requiring the bird's sacrifice for the tribe's well-being.
