The Killing Kind (1974)

Terry Lambert, recently released from prison after serving time for a crime he didn't commit, seeks justice. Still affected by his imprisonment and developing a taste for violence, Terry struggles to readjust to life in his small town, complicated by his overprotective mother's constant, almost childlike attempts to care for him. Meanwhile, Lori, a boarder in Terry's mother's house, is drawn to his troubled nature. As local women start turning up dead, the relationships and loyalties of those in the town are tested, revealing a hidden darkness beneath the surface.
