Description:
Freddie, a quiet bank clerk, feels empty and finds comfort in butterfly collecting, seeing power in these fragile creatures – something he lacks in his life. When he unexpectedly inherits money, Freddie moves to the countryside, hoping for peace. But he struggles with people and applies his collecting habits to finding a girlfriend. Like a butterfly's transformation, Freddie carefully plans to win her over. His cellar becomes a place of anticipation, waiting for his chosen target. This dark comedy examines social awkwardness, obsession, and the strange similarities between collecting insects and pursuing relationships. As we explore Freddie’s world, we question societal expectations and how we might go too far in seeking control and connection.
