In 1980s suburbia, Heather, a typical valley girl, starts questioning her sexuality. Conflicted between this new understanding and her life, she struggles with her identity and cuts off contact with Christine, her close friend and partner, trying to regain control. But as the consequences of this choice affect everyone around her, Heather realizes she can't escape who she is.
