Description:

In 1900 California, timber baron Jim Fallon pursues an ambitious plan to acquire vast redwood forests, taking advantage of a new law. His plans face opposition from a Quaker colony that has already claimed the land. The pacifist settlers deeply respect the ancient sequoias on their property and ask Fallon to protect them. However, Fallon is determined to get rich and is threatened by the colony's resistance and rival businesses encroaching on his territory. Facing enemies, Fallon forms an unlikely alliance to protect his interests, leading him on a difficult journey that challenges his values and the impact of his greed. A conflict of wills ensues as both sides fight to protect their land in this story about ambition, exploitation, and the fight to preserve nature.
