Description:
Haroun, a retired civil servant living a solitary life in Oran, unexpectedly confides in Kamel, a journalist he meets in a bar. Haroun recounts an unbelievable story from 1942: he is the brother of Moussa, "the Arab" killed in Albert Camus's novel, "The Stranger," whose name was erased from history. Through a mix of anger, insistence, and personal details, Haroun persuades Kamel to listen. His confession is a desperate plea for freedom, fueled by resentment towards his mother, his country’s unrealized independence, the book itself, and the renowned French author.
